KL SEATINGCovered spectator seating & grandstand hire
Outdoor spectator seating · Mobile grandstand hire · UK & Ireland

A dry seat and
a clear view.

We hire covered tiered seating for outdoor events — mobile grandstands of 90 to 181 seats that arrive on a trailer and are built in as little as half an hour. Every seat sits under an integrated roof, so your spectators stay put when the weather turns.

Who we seat
Agricultural & county shows

Main-ring seating that keeps people watching the grand parade instead of queueing for the beer tent when it rains.

City parades

Raised, ticketed viewing on hard streets — built overnight, gone before the road reopens.

Military, police & fire ceremonies

Passing-out parades and remembrance events, where families need a proper seat and the day has to run to the minute.

Sport & equestrian

Trackside and ringside tiers with a 400mm row rise, so row four sees the action, not the back of row three.

What a good show day looks like

A full, covered stand changes the feel of an event. People settle in, the atmosphere builds, and nobody drifts home at the first shower. That's the thing we're actually hiring out.

How the stands are built

Specified for the wet Saturday

A grandstand gets judged on the worst day of your event, not the best one. Ours are aircraft-grade aluminium, hydraulically built by one or two operators, and rated to Gale Force 8 once up — which is what your safety advisory group will want to see on an exposed site.

General arrangement — single bank, flat integrated roof
Integrated roof

Part of the structure, not a canopy bolted on. Every seat in every stand is under cover.

Gale Force 8 rated

Wind-rated once built, load tested before we hand over.

Hydraulic build

No scaffold, no compound, no three-day build. Towed in and opened out in 30 minutes to 2 hours depending on the stand.

Proper sightlines

400mm row rise and generous going — people can pass without the whole row standing up.

Stands combine

181 seats is the single-trailer ceiling. Past that, we pair stands into blocks of any practical size.

Stadium standard

Fixed tiered seating built to BS EN 13200, the same standard as permanent stadium seating.

Thirty years of show days

Bond films, royal visits, county finals

We traded for the best part of three decades as KL Spectator Seating. In that time our stands have seated spectators at everything from village club finals to royal visits — and one of them appeared in a James Bond film production.

The same stands work passing-out parades for the armed forces, police and fire service — the events where families have travelled a long way and the seating simply has to be right.

Common questions

Things organisers ask us

If yours isn't here, call 0116 380 0757 — the phone is answered by people who build the stands.

Day rates start around £1,600 for 90 covered seats and run to £2,350 for 181, plus travel. The price guide on this site gives you a range for your event in about two minutes, and we confirm an exact written quote within one working day.

Yes — every stand has an integrated roof as part of the structure, so all seats are covered seating. There is no uncovered option to accidentally book.

Between 30 minutes and 2 hours depending on the stand, with one or two operators. That means we can build inside overnight road closures for parades, or early on show morning.

Ours are built to BS EN 13200, wind-rated to Gale Force 8 once up, and load tested before handover. We supply the documentation your safety advisory group or licensing officer will ask for.

Summer show season and November remembrance weekends book earliest — three to six months ahead is comfortable. Short notice is still worth a call; with 2,200+ seats across three depots we can often help.
